If you've been contacted by someone you don't think is right for you, you can use one of our template messages to let them know. If you're using the website, just click on choose a preset at the bottom of your conversation page. This generates a polite message addressed to the sender letting them know you don't think they're a match.
If you'd like to stop receiving messages from a particular member altogether, and don't want them to be able to see you on the site, you can block them from their profile. Just click the 3 dots (...) and select the Block option. You can also block someone directly from your conversation with them by clicking the 3 dots (...) at the top of your conversation page.
Blocking someone is a permanent action and cannot be undone, so make sure you're certain before clicking. For privacy reasons, we don't provide a list of members you have blocked.
Remember, if you're blocking someone because the messages they have sent you are offensive than please click the 3 dots on your conversation page and use the Report this message link to let us know.
Please don't block other members routinely or excessively. If you just don't want to see someone in your searches, you can use the Hide from searches option instead.
