While we encourage our members to be as open-minded as possible when it comes to chatting with those who might not exactly fit their preferences, turning on our Mutual Messaging option is a way to make sure you're only talking to people you're interested in

If you switch to Mutual Messaging, this means that only members you have liked, waved at, or sent a message to can send you a message.

Other members can still like or wave at you, but won't be able to write you a message until you've liked them in return.

If someone else has Mutual Messaging activated, you will no longer see the 'message' button on their profile. By default, all new joiners have open messaging until they choose to change this.

If you'd like to update your message settings, simply visit your account Privacy Page  and click on Messaging to adjust the settings for your account.
