What is Video Chat?
We are trialling Video Chat as an experimental feature for subscribers.
Before you meet face-to-face, our integrated video chat gives you the option to take your conversation to the next level.
How can I start a Video Chat?
You can start a video chat from any conversation by pressing Start Video Chat. But remember to let the other person know first so that they can join you!
In the conversation, just ask the other person if they want to video chat now, or you could arrange and time to have a video date later.
At the agreed time, just click on the Start Video Chat button within a conversation.
Important: Both of you must be online for the video chat option to appear. If you can’t see the option, try refreshing your browser.
You'll then see a window pop-up asking permission to use your camera and microphone. Once you’ve accepted that, we’ll connect you.
Is Video Chat available for everyone?
We're still testing this experimental feature, and you'll need to be fully subscribed to use it.
It's designed to work on modern iOS and Android devices and the latest version of Google Chrome.
Is the video chat service moderated?
No, we don't monitor or moderate video chats, so your chats remain private.
However, please let us know if you experience problems with the service or another member.
How can I report someone?
If another member acts inappropriately on video chat (or any other chat for that matter!), please report this to us at help@christianconnection.com. If you can, please include a screenshot of the chat and as many details as possible of the incident, and we will look into it.
This article from PC Mag explains how to take a screenshot on any device.
Please feel free to share your feedback at contact@christianconnection.com
