Where is the "Seen at" time on messages?

We've taken the decision to remove the "seen at" time (or "read" status) on messages following significant feedback that our members were finding this to be unhelpful.

As many of our members choose to receive message notifications via their personal email accounts, messages had often been read without ever changing to "seen" on the site. This meant we were unable to update the "seen" status accurately.

Many members also found it upsetting to see that a message had been read but not replied to, without knowing the reasons why. What's more, a message recipient may have felt burdened to rush a reply, knowing that the sender could see when they had read a message.

We have therefore removed the "seen at" time to help improve the experience for our members, and to help you to focus on writing a reply you're happy with, without feeling the need to rush.
