How am I protected from scammers?

Our stringent security checks help keep you safe.

Last updated on 20 May, 2026

At Christian Connection, keeping you safe is extremely important to us. We work hard to keep the site safe and to detect and remove accounts that should not be on the platform.

We make it easy for members to report anything they feel may be suspicious. You can report a member directly from their profile or from your mailbox conversations, and our team will review the account.

What happens when a member is reported?

When we receive a report, we review the account and any relevant activity on the site. This includes multi-level fraud detection checks. We may also request additional identity verification directly from the member before allowing continued access to the site.

If an account is found not to be genuine, we'll remove it and send an email with safety guidance to anyone we think may have been in contact with them away from the site.

While no online platform can guarantee the detection of every non-genuine account, these measures help us identify and remove the vast majority of suspicious activity.

Here are some of the other things we do every day to keep you safe:

  • We use a combination of AI-assisted moderation and human review to check every profile on the site.

  • Our platform uses sophisticated fraud detection software to help protect you from scammers.

  • All pages of the Christian Connection site are secured using an 'HTTPS' connection.

  • Your personal data is held on a secure server and all passwords are salted and hashed to protect in the event of a breach.

  • Our Email Log in system helps protect your account from hackers.
