If someone has behaved inappropriately, made you feel unsafe, or has otherwise broken our terms, we encourage you to report them to our experienced support team.
You can find out how to report someone and the reasons for doing so here, but you may have questions about what happens next
Will you contact me about my report?
Once you've made your report, our support team will thoroughly review it. Please include as much information as possible in your initial report to help us evaluate and take action. If there's any additional information you want to include, such as screenshots or links, you can add to your report by emailing us at help@christianconnection.com
If we need more information, we will contact you to request it—for example, we may need to ask for screenshots if someone sent you offensive text or chat messages.
Will my report be anonymous?
All reports are anonymous. We will never give your name or details about you to the person you're reporting. However, they may understand what behaviour would have led to a warning or ban.
If you have any safety concerns about reporting a member, please let us know, and we will contact you before taking action. It's crucial to still make the report, and our team can take extra steps to help you.
Will you tell me what action you take?
We'll let you know that we are taking action based on your report, but we can't usually share precisely what this will be for data privacy reasons. Actions we may take could include suspension, warning, requesting additional identity verification, monitoring and banning an account.
What happens when someone is warned or banned?
When we warn or ban someone, we let them know in an email. In the case of a warning, this will include a description of the rules they have broken and will request their agreement to abide by these in future.
If someone has been banned, they will be advised that their account has been closed due to a breach of our terms. We aren't usually able to provide the exact reason for a ban.
How am I protected from false reporting?
Our highly experienced support team reviews each report carefully and requests evidence when needed. Making false reports or reporting in bad faith is against our terms and can result in account closure.
If you have any more questions or concerns about reporting someone, you can always ask our support team for advice.
